Depending on your country of citizenship, you may require a visa in order to enter Canada. There are three types of Temporary Resident Visas, they are:


VISITOR
STUDENTS
WORKERS

The TRV can be issued on different modalities:

Single Entry Visa – allows the foreign national only one entry into Canada.  Single Entry Visas are rarely seen since this modality was derogated for visitor applicants.

Multiple Entry Visa –allows the foreign national unlimited entry into Canada, pending on the validity of the Visa; and

Transit Visa – allows entry to Canada for ​foreign ​nationals who are travelling and who stop at an airport in Canada for less that forty-eight (48) hours, but whose country of origin is one that requires a visa.

Student

This status is granted to those who wish to study temporarily in Canada.
